How Do Dermal Fillers Rejuvenate Smiles?

Hyaluronic acid is a key natural part of the skin (extracellular matrix) that helps to (among other things) retain moisture in skin. For example with the natural aging process, if there is less of natural occurring hyaluronic acid skin can start to become less firm or full loosing a once youthful appearance.

Will Dermal Fillers Cause Me Pain?

Dermal fillers are generally considered to cause very low level of discomfort at the injection site, which is usually temporary. To try to minimize any discomfort anesthetic is used around the site. Usually 24-48 hours after the procedure there can be some minor swelling and in some cases a bit of tenderness.

How Long do Dermal Fillers Last?

Individual results can very and also depending on the location and the category of filler used; the length of time will very. For the most common fillers; results generally last about 6 months. Over time the natural processes of the body will gradually continue to change and turn over and with time fold and wrinkles will reappear.

How Much Filler Do I Need?

Just a fold and wrinkles can vary from face to face, so to does the amount of filler needed vary per treatment. Its a very individual treatment and depends of the amount of correction needed; as well as the number of areas treated.
